How to find a job in Bedfordshire

Job Searching post pandemic and post Brexit

The good news is that employers are still hiring.  However, the nature of skills demands and the ways employers are recruiting may have changed  and you may need to reconsider your approach

  • Understand where skills shortages lie – explore opportunities in current demand areas

  • Look for volunteering opportunities that will help the community and provide additional skills

  • Remember many recruiters will move to telephone and video interviewing

  • Try something new – Government says furloughed workers can take on paid employment

  • Take an online learning course to boost your CV – The Open University and FutureLearn both offer free courses.

  • Reflect on transferrable skills learned as a result of working at home
